Fees for import inspections on high priority goods currently subject to controls will now begin on 1st June 2021.
In December 2020 we shared information of the fees that will be applicable in England for import inspections on high priority EU goods planned from 1st April 2021. Fee collection for EU imports is now being delayed and will start from 1st June.
Defra and APHA have worked through the legislative amends needed in order to implement the fees and this has allowed us to provide a more detailed breakdown of the fees. The Statutory Instrument that will make the amends is due to be laid in Parliament in March and will come in to force on 1st June.
Please see this table for information on the levels of inspections that EU goods will be subject to when entering GB.
