General Comments

Damaging beetle pest of spruce, less often affecting pine. Established in England, spreading in Scotland. There is a Forestry management scheme in place to reduce impacts in Great Britain. There is a regulated pest free area status or protected zone status for some parts of the UK which mitigates against the risk of entry to those areas which remain free.
