Fireblight Pest Free Area Requirement Dropped by Jersey

As of September 2024, Jersey has confirmed to DEFRA that they are dropping their Fireblight Pest Free Area with immediate effect and so there is no longer a requirement for Fireblight

Buffer Zones for UK Plant Passporting for movement of host plants into Jersey.

If a nursery is growing Fireblight hosts and selling them to other professional operators in Jersey, then they will still need to receive one Growing Season Inspection between June and October inclusive.

If you have any further questions, please contact your local APHA inspector (or SASA HMU inspector in Scotland) to discuss further and where necessary, amend your authorisation for UK plant passporting.
