SPS Agreement: update on multi-drop

Last updated on: 09 March 2026

In the run-up to the SPS Agreement, and further to earlier information, deliveries of plants for planting from the EU to several destinations in Great Britain are possible under one import pre‑notification and one PC (i.e. multi‑drop deliveries), providing the businesses meet the following:

  1. A consignment must be made up of one transport vehicle/container
  2. Each consignment must have one PC and one CHED-PP notification input via IPAFFS
  3. Additional traceability information should be attached to the IPAFFS notification providing details of the delivery addresses for each element of the consignment

Once the plants arrive at each of their first delivery addresses, UK plant passport requirements apply for any further movement.
