We would like to notify you of a call for comments on the proposal to introduce risk-based documentary checks on medium-risk plants and plant products from all third countries and to make associated changes to the respective fees for such checks. Additionally, updates to fees for certain imports from ROW are proposed.

Responses regarding these elements, should be sent by 24 June 2024 by email to plantpestsrisks@defra.gov.uk.

Extensions to the current easements to checks on medium risk fruit and vegetables from the EU, Switzerland and Liechtenstein and to checks on certain goods entering GB via a West Coast Port are also proposed.
