Stakeholder engagement: Introducing Import Checks and Fees on Medium Risk Goods from the EU, Liechtenstein and Switzerland

We would like to notify you of a call for comments on the proposal to introduce documentary and risk-based identity and physical checks on medium-risk plants and plant products from the EU, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland.  Updated fees for certain imports from ROW are also proposed.

Please see the letter for further information. An Annex, with an outline of the associated fees, is also provided.

Responses should be sent by 15 December 2023 by email to plantpestsrisks@defra.gov.uk.

Please note: As stated in the TOM, from 31 October 2024 at the earliest, we will introduce check requirements for EU SPS goods that enter Great Britain via West Coast ports.
