BETA Your feedback will help us improve the UK Plant Health Information Portal
The Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) network is a UK-wide citizen science initiative that allows you to get hands-on with nature, whatever your age, background or level of ability.
A collaborative project between Forest Research, the Forestry Commission, APHA, Defra, Fera, the National Trust, Natural Resources Wales and the Woodland Trust. Funded by the EU’s Life programme, which aims to help spot new pest and disease threats to UK trees.
This is a network of individuals and organisations working across a range of projects and activities that engage people with trees and tree health. The network aims to support collaboration between projects and to improve how tree health citizen science opportunities are presented and marketed to the public. Have a look at the network’s ‘Learning Pathway’ to find out more about projects and activities.
