Account Management

Please follow the steps to manage your account on the Plant Health Exports Service (PHES)

 

Step 1: Add an inspection address

1. Enter your Government Gateway ID and password at https://exporter.apply-plant-export-certificates.service.gov.uk

2. From the dashboard, you can manage the addresses you have registered as inspection addresses, rather than just via an application.

3. From the dashboard, click the ‘Manage account’ hyperlink (top right).

4. Click the hyperlink ‘Add or amend addresses of your business premises for inspection visits’.

5. Click ‘Start now’.   

6. Enter the postcode, select the corresponding address and click ‘Continue’.

7. Check the details are correct.   

8. Click ‘Continue’ if correct, or the hyperlink ‘Cancel and add a different address’ to amend – this returns you to step 6.

9. Add the name and email address of the contact for the site plus optional phone numbers and click ‘Continue’.

10. Check the details are correct, and click ‘Save and continue’ if correct, or the hyperlink ‘Cancel and add a different main contact’ to amend.

11. You can now see that the new inspection address has been added to your account and will be available to select from within your applications.  You can add more via ‘Add a new inspection address’.   

 

Step 2: Amend organisation main contact name, number or organisation address

1. Enter your Government Gateway ID and password at https://exporter.apply-plant-export-certificates.service.gov.uk

2. From the dashboard, click the ‘Manage account’ hyperlink (top right).

3. Click the ‘Access your DEFRA account’ hyperlink.

4. To change the name or contact phone number of the account holder click the ‘Update details’ hyperlink.  Note that from this page you can reset / change your security word by selecting the link. 

5. Click the ‘Change’ hyperlink.      

6. Overtype the required change, then click ‘Continue’.

7. To change the organisation address, follow steps 1 – 4, but scroll down the page to ‘Your accounts’ and click ‘Manage’. 

8. Click ‘Manage your organisation’.

9. Click ‘Update details’.   

10. Click ‘Change’ next to the address.  Note that you can also change the phone number or email address from here.

11. Enter the required postcode and ‘Find address’ or follow the link to enter the address manually.   

12. Select the address from the list and click ‘Continue’.

13. The address has been updated. You will get email confirmation of any changes made.
