Cancel an Application

Please follow the steps to cancel a phytosanitary certificate application on the Plant Health Exports Service (PHES):

 

Step 1: Log into your Government Gateway Account

  1. Enter your Government Gateway ID and password at https://exporter.apply-plant-export-certificates.service.gov.uk
  2. From the dashboard, decide which application you would like to cancel. 

Step 2: Cancel Application 

  1. You can cancel any application, except those where the status has already changed to ‘rejected’ or ‘completed’.  Note: you may still occur charges dependant on whether the application has had any work done already by your inspector. 
  2. Open the application you wish to cancel by clicking on the application number on the far left.
  3. Click the hyperlink ‘Cancel this application’ bottom left.       
  4. Select the relevant reason for cancellation and Confirm.
  5. Select the radio button ‘Yes, cancel this application’ and then click ‘Continue’.
  6. You will see an onscreen message confirming the application has been cancelled. Click ‘Return to your applications’ (top left) to return to the dashboard.    
  7. The application now displays as ‘cancelled’ on the dashboard.
