Prohibited Commodities

Some commodities are prohibited for import into GB from all or certain countries. Those commodities are subject to a permanent prohibition due to an inherent pest and disease risk (Table 1) . There are also goods that are prohibited pending a submission of a technical dossier from an exporting National Plant Protection Organisation to support the import of a specific trade (Table 2). Finally, there are goods that are subject to emergency control measures (Table 3). 

Prohibitions should always be cross checked against the legislation to ensure they are up to date.
